Hibiscus need at least 4 to 5 hours of direct sunlight a day for best flowering.
Water them liberally and often yet take care that their roots are not standing in water such as in a saucer.
If you choose to plant them in the ground make sure the soil will drain well.
Remove suckers that grow from below the graft.
Fertilize weekly with a suitable favorite fertilizer.
Hibiscus need to be protected from frost and freezes; cover them or bring them inside.
Inspect for insects and mites and take appropriate measures if needed.
